At Pomona State School we are very fortunate to have excellent grounds and facilities which include two ovals, a 25m outdoor pool, two refurbished Basketball courts and undercover areas. As well as participating in daily fitness activities, each class in Years 4-7 has 30 minutes of Physical Education.

Throughout this year, classes are developing the skills required for the traditional sports such as Soccer, Rugby, Athletics, Cross Country, Swimming, Cricket and Softball/T-Ball but also they have been introduced to new sports such as Aussie Rules Football (Auskick Program), Water Polo (Flippa Ball) and Basketball.

Basketball

Water Polo - Flippa Ball Pomona students will continue to participate inter-house sports, including Cross country, Athletics and Swimming throughout the year and also will play competitively  against other Noosa and District Primary schools at numerous sports.

Every year some students from Pomona trial in order to represent the District team at a variety of sports which include Rugby League (James Langton, Korey Burgess and Cooper Allen) and Soccer (Max Adey and Maddison Bennett).

AFL Auskick

Also once a year students from Pomona are involved in 'The King of the Mountain' which involves a team relay followed by a Tug of War competition. Be assured this Primary School will be tough to beat as we have won the latter for five years running!
