In 2008 Pomona State School received a
grant to develop an intervention strategy for Prep to Year 2 for Drug
Education Awareness. Our strategy includes the teaching of the following

The teachers in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2
address these topics in special lessons and incidentally as issues arise.
The teachers have identified all the areas of the curriculum where this is
likely to happen.

Drug Awareness Education is a key part of
Pomona State School’s Well Being Framework which encompasses Drug Awareness
Education, Positive School Wide Behaviours, Human Relationships Education
